The Vivo-owned smartphone brand iQoo has released a new performance-centric smartphone in India – iQoo Neo 9 Pro. It comes with a 144Hz smooth display, runs on a flagship-tier Snapdragon processor, and offers one of the fastest charging rates in the segment. Here’s everything you need to know about the iQoo Neo 9 Pro, including its design, specifications, features, and price.
iQoo Neo 9 Pro Design
The smartphone comes in two colors: Conqueror Black And Fiery Red. While the former has a single-tone back panel with a matte finish, the latter has a dual-tone rear panel with a vegan leather finish. Further, the black variant weighs 196 grams, while the red one weighs 190 grams.
On the front, the iQoo Neo 9 Pro has a centrally-located punch-hole camera. The bezels on the sides are thin, but those on the top and the bottom are relatively thicker. On the right frame, users get the power/volume buttons, while the USB-C port, the primary microphone, and the speaker are situated on the bottom panel.
On the rear, users get two round-edged square camera cutouts aligned vertically. Lastly, one can see iQoo’s branding at the bottom left corner.
iQoo Neo 9 Pro Specifications And Features
The latest smartphone from the company comes with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen that supports up to 144Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the handset runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4nm) SoC with Adreno 730 GPU. Previously, we’ve seen this chipset on the flagship Galaxy S23 series. Most recently, the OnePlus 12R also shipped with this SoC.
The chipset provides flagship-tier performance on the smartphone. Hence, users shouldn’t face issues with multitasking or heavy usage. Along with the primary processor, the iQoo Neo 9 Pro also comes with a Supercomputing Q1 Chip, which enhances the overall gaming performance. The secondary chip pushes out up to 144 frames per second via interpolation at up to 900P super-resolution.
Regarding memory and storage, the smartphone is available with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The model is available in two storage variants: 8/256GB and 12/256GB. However, a third 8/128GB variant will be available later next month, on March 21. Users also get the virtual RAM extension feature. Interestingly, the company has priced all the variants very aggressively, making them more affordable than the OnePlus 12R.
Regarding optics, the iQoo Neo 9 Pro has a 50MP Sony IMX920 primary sensor (1.49-inch, f/1.88) and an 8MP ultrawide sensor (f/2.2). On the front, users get a 16MP (f/2.45) selfie shooter. The company has included several camera modes, including Night, Portrait, Panorama, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Long Exposure, etc. While the rear camera can shoot videos in 4K resolution, the front camera can shoot them in 1080p.
Powering the smartphone is a 5,160 mAh battery that supports 120W fast wired charging. Connectivity options on the phone include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, a USB-C port, GPS, and OTG. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, an infrared blaster, an IP54 water and dust resistance rating, and a 6K VC Cooling System.
