The Vivo-owned smartphone brand iQoo recently released the iQoo Z9 5G. The handset features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, runs on a Dimensity 7200 5G SoC, and has a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor. Its base variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 19,999 in India, placing it as a mid-range smartphone. Now, a tipster suggests that the brand is working on an iQoo Z9 Turbo, a bumped-up version of the smartphone that will feature even more capable specifications. Let’s discuss the proposed phone’s display, battery, and chipset.
iQoo Z9 Turbo Leaked Specifications
According to the Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQoo Z9 Turbo (model number V2352A) will have a 1.5K resolution (2712 x 1220 pixels). Under the hood, the smartphone could run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, an upcoming processor that could debut on March 18, 2024, at the Qualcomm launch event. Further, the tipster also predicts the phone could have a 6,000 mAh battery. From what it looks like, the iQoo Z9 Turbo could be an upper mid-range smartphone or what brands like to call a “flagship killer.”
For those catching up, the 8s Gen 3 is a toned-down version of the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Although based on the same 4nm fabrication technology, the 8s Gen 3’s prime core (3.01GHz) is clocked at a lesser speed than the 8 Gen 3 (3.3GHz). Further, the processor could feature four Cortex-A720 cores with 2.61GHz clock speed and three Cortex-A520 cores with 1.84GHz clock speed. Lastly, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 could come with the Adreno 735 GPU. Another smartphone that could feature the same chipset is the Realme GT Neo 6, which is about to debut in China soon.
