Sometimes you’re scrolling on Tik Tok and your finger slips and before you know it, your followers have seen you repost the most embarrassing video that’s ever crossed your FYP. These literal slip-ups can happen to anyone, but how to undo them?Removing a repost would seem simple. You can just go to your posted videos to find what you shared, right? Wrong. While it’s true that reposted videos do go out to your followers with a label that identifies you as the reposter, your reposted videos do not appear on your profile feed.Instead, you can find them in the Repost tab, which will not show up on your account until you have reposted at least one video. Go to Profile on the bottom right of the screen and you should see the Repost tab right in the middle, below your profile photo.

To remove a video, tap it and then tap the Share icon. You’ll get a pop-up menu with Remove Repost at the left. Tap that and the video is removed as a repost.

If for some reason you do not see the Repost tab but you still want reassurance that you haven’t reposted a video, there’s a way to check. Go to your profile, click the three lines at the top then go to Settings and Privacy > Activity Center > Watch History. There you’ll be able to see the videos you’ve watched. You can click on the video you think you may have reposted and then the share button to see if it says Repost (which means that you did not repost it) or Undo Repost, in which case you can select that.
