UPDATE: Are you still using the Google Podcasts app? You have until July to move your subscriptions to YouTube Music, but Google officially axed listening on the Google Podcasts app on April 2, so podcast fans should make the switch now.Google has a migration tool to simplify the process. In the Google Podcasts app, look for an Export subscriptions option at the top of the screen and follow these steps.Select Export under ‘Export to YouTube Music’Select Transfer on the YouTube Music appSelect ContinueSelect Go to Library to view your subscriptions once the transfer is completeThe transfer process will take a few minutes, “so hang tight!” Google warns. Google today provided details on how to migrate Google Podcast subscriptions to YouTube Music or export them to other podcast apps.Google will officially retire Google Podcasts at the end of March, and users will have until July 2024 to export or migrate their subscriptions. Over the next few weeks, a migration tool will become available through a banner at the top of the Google Podcasts app. Once it appears, click the “Export subscriptions” link. Google notes that many of the most popular podcasts are already available on YouTube. If your favorite isn’t there, you can add shows to your YouTube Music library via the podcast RSS feed. To entice listeners to YouTube Music, Google notes that it has worked over the past year to improve the podcast experience on YouTube and YouTube Music. The apps now offer automatic downloads of podcast episodes, as well as discovery features that can help you find your next great listen, among other improvements.
