Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Turbo 3 in the Chinese market. As previously revealed, this smartphone starts a new lineup of performance-oriented smartphones. This new lineup basically stands in between the flagship Redmi K series and the mid-range Note series.
So, it’s not as flagship as the high-end devices from the brand, but it’s more capable than the best mid-range phones it has to offer. This also means that you will be getting flagship-grade performance without paying the high-end price. To be specific, the phone starts in China at CNY 1,999, around $276.
Redmi Turbo 3 Starts A New Series of Pocket-friendly Flagships
One of the main highlights of the Redmi Turbo 3 is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. It’s a recently released SoC that Qualcomm released to introduce performance-oriented phones such as this one. This Chipset is not as fast as the high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but it’s more powerful than the top-end mid-range SoC.
But it’s not just about the chipset that’s making Turbo 3 get this much attention. It’s also more about the overall package. On the front, the Android phone comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen that features a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2712 x 1220 pixels resolution.
