Alongside the gaming handheld PC, the mobile gaming market has seen a tremendous surge in popularity in the past few years. We are now getting new mobile gaming controllers pretty much every month. But, of course, with these controllers, you can’t really replicate the gaming experience that a proper handheld can offer. Well, that’s basically where the Ayaneo Pocket S steps in.
It’s a new gaming handheld that’s based on Android. While the concept isn’t new, the thing that really sets Ayaneo Pocket S apart is the fact that it comes with a Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 processor. Qualcomm designed this flagship processor for enthusiast users. That automatically means that it’s as good as mobile gaming can get at the moment.
Of course, the processor isn’t the highlight of the new Ayaneo Pocket S. The mobile gaming handheld has a lot under the hood.
More About the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2
Let’s first talk a little about the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2, which the Ayaneo Pocket S comes with. As mentioned earlier, it’s for gamers seeking top-tier mobile performance. Of course, as the name suggests, this one isn’t the first of its kind. However, with this specific SoC, Qualcomm has made a big leap.
To be specific, the G3x Gen 2 promises an impressive two-fold CPU performance boost compared to the last generation. This translates to smoother gameplay and faster responsiveness. These aspects are quite crucial for a gaming handheld such as the Ayaneo Pocket S.
But it’s not just the CPU performance in which the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 makes a leap. It also stands as a GPU powerhouse. Qualcomm boasts a 30% improvement in GPU performance with the new Adreno A32. This translates to sharper visuals, higher frame rates, and a richer overall gaming experience.
Gizchina News of the week
Beyond raw specs, the G3x Gen 2 seems to be on par with the mighty Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. While that’s a last-gen smartphone SoC, it still has what it takes to compete with current flagships. What’s more important is that the G3x Gen 2 can maintain its peak performance for longer stretches. That’s another crucial aspect for mobile gaming handhelds such as Ayaneo Pocket S.
