Opera worked with Microsoft’s App Assure team and Qualcomm to develop the new version and ensure its compatibility.Like many tech firms, Opera has been developing AI tools for its users. With the new version, Opera believes users will see a “significant performance boost” on Windows systems with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon chips. The Snapdragon X Plus and the Snapdragon X Elite have built-in AI engines with neural processing units (NPUs). Both CPUs are expected to release in the coming months, sometime in mid-2024.
