Sonos Refreshed Roam Speaker Lineup With Improved Battery Life

Sonos has introduced its second generation Roam 2 portable Bluetooth speaker alongside the brand’s first Sonos Ace over-ear headphones. The latest Roam 2 brings minor upgrades over Sonos Roam which was launched back in 2021, such as improved battery life, enhanced audio system, better Bluetooth controls, and quick set-up. In terms of design, it features an almost similar design to its predecessor. However, there are subtle changes in the brand’s logo which is now monochromatic.

The compact and slim Roam 2 boasts two Class-H digital amplifiers that are perfectly tuned by Sonos’s unique acoustics architecture, a tweeter makes the sound crisper, and one mid-woofer balances mid-range frequencies and maximizes low-end output. The portable speaker also supports the Sonos companion app that lets you adjust bass, treble, and loudness.

Sonos now also includes a dedicated power and Bluetooth button in the Roam 2. Sonos packed an Automatic Trueplay feature that fine-tunes the sound for your environment. Furthermore, the Roam 2 boasts a 10-hour battery life on a single charge. Sonos claims the Roam 2 will last a little longer than the first-generation Roam.

The speaker is IP67-rated which means you can carry it in wet places such as pool areas without worrying about water damage. Its sturdy build can easily withstand sun, dirt, sand, and snow.

Starting at £179, the Roam 2 comes in five beautiful color options – Wave, Black, White, Sunset, and Olive. The speaker is now available via Sonos’ official website and other authorized retailers.
