Walmart Brings InHome Delivery To 7 More Cities

Walmart is expanding its in-home delivery service, bringing the delivery service to an additional 10 million households in the United States. On Friday the company announced its launching its delivery service in Boston, Cambridge, and Newton in Massachusetts as well as Detroit, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, and San Bernardino. The addition of the new cities brings the company’s InHome service, which initially launched in 2019, to more than 50 markets and makes it available to over 45 million homes.“The expansion of InHome comes at the perfect time for families in Boston who are embarking on the busy summer season and are looking for faster, more convenient ways to complete those everyday chores,” said Haley McShane, general manager of InHome, Walmart U.S. “We understand that customers are busy and want to make sure that they can have a seamless shopping experience that fits their needs.”More than just a delivery service, InHome involves a delivery person dropping off your items literally inside your home using a one-time access code for a smart lock on your front door. Workers wear cameras that allow shoppers to watch the drop off in real time or view footage up to a week after delivery.
