Our Top-Rated Video-Streaming Services

Griselda (Netflix)

Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara is flexing her drama chops in this Netflix series about Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco. The family of the real-life Griselda doesn’t love the series, but it’s from the team that produced Narcos, so it sounds like it might have some potential.Expats (Prime Video)

Nicole Kidman has been on a roll with TV series in recent years, from Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers to Special Ops: Lioness. Her latest is Expats, which follows the twists and turns of wealthy expats in Hong Kong and the people who work for them.Queer Eye: Season 8 (Netflix)

I’m old enough to remember going to viewing parties for the original Queer Eye circa 2003, and now we’re kicking off season eight of the reboot. According to Netflix, the “Fab Five will be dropping into the lives of a former nun, the world’s biggest Kiss fan, and the football coach for the Louisiana School for the Deaf, among others this season.” It’s the last season for Bobby Berk; he gave Vanity Fair all the details, including some awkwardness with castmate Tan France.Masters of the Universe: Revolution (Netflix)

I’m also old enough to remember He-Man as a Saturday morning cartoon staple. This animated series from Kevin Smith features the voices of Mark Hamill, Melissa Benoist, William Shatner, Keith David, Lena Headey, and more.Masters of the Air (Apple TV+)

Get ready, history buffs. Master of the Air basically rounds out a dramatic trilogy from Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman after Band of Brothers and The Pacific. This nine-episode series follows the 100th Bomb Group of the pre-Air Force Army Air Corps. (As The Wrap notes, Spielberg’s father served in the Army Air Corps.) It stars Austin Butler, who (hopefully) dropped the Elvis accent in time to play Major Gale “Buck” Cleven.

Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning (Paramount+)

For heroics of a different sort, the latest entry in the Mission Impossible movie franchise is now on Paramount+. Tom Cruise reprises the role of Ethan Hunt to stop a deadly weapon from falling into the wrong hands. The Underdoggs (Prime Video)

If you’re looking for PG way to introduce Snoop Dogg to your kids, this updated take on the Bad News Bears stars the rapper and entertainer as a washed-up former pro football who is forced to coach a pee-wee football team in his hometown as part of a community service sentence.
