Honor Magic6 Pro / RSR Porsche Design, and MagicBook Pro 16 Debut at MWC



As expected Honor took to its February 25 keynote at the Mobile World Congress 2024 to present a wide array of new products. These products come as part of the company’s new all-scenario strategy that focuses on an AI-empowered scenario with Cross-OS experiences and a focus on familiarity with the user interface of its products. The new strategy includes launching the Honor Magic6 Pro for global markets, including a special RSR Porsche Edition. The company also brings the Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design Edition and an all-new AI PC Honor MagicBook Pro 16.

All the new products come equipped with Honor’s platform-level AI to deliver human-centric innovations. According to George Zhao, CEO of HONOR Device Co., Ltd:

Honor Magic 6 Pro gets a global debut – New Focus on AI
Honor took to the MWC to bring the Honor Magic6 Pro as one of its main attractions. The new flagship leads the company’s smartphone division in terms of innovation and performance. The device boasts the company’s latest advancements in photography, display, performance, and AI-powered user experiences.
Honor takes the opportunity to disclose its latest MagicOS 8.0 which comes based on the latest Android 14. The new OS brings a bunch of new AI features including multimode ways for users to interact with their device.

The new MagicOS 8 includes Magic Capsule and Magic Portal features. These two features allow Honor Magic6 Pro users to have a more personalized intuitive experience. A simple tap on the notification banner at the top of the screen expands the Magic Capsule feature. it offers additional information based on related options. It grants the user instant access to more resources and eliminates the need to navigate through a lot of menus in search of information.

The Magic Portal harnesses the power of AI to understand user messaging and behavior. It streamlines complex tasks into a single-step process.

Magic Portal’s AI quickly recognizes addresses in a text message and directs users to Google Maps. For social media like TikTok and Facebook, it also streamlines access and sharing, allowing users to forward booking details on online search results with just a single drag. Magic Portal also improves shopping experiences as it seamlessly guides users to platforms, where they can find and purchase desired items.
More About the AI Implementation
To deliver its new AI features, Honor is actively working with multiple industry partners. Honor and Qualcomm have joined forces to bring the LLaMA 2 large language model (LLM) inside the Honor Magic6 Pro. With it, it can complete functions such as Q&As, text creation, and reading comprehension in an offline environment. As
Sportography returns with Honor’s AI-powered Falcon Camera System
Once Again, the Honor Magic6 Pro brings a focus to the so-called “Sportography”. It’s a marketing term adopted by Honor to ensure the phone’s capabilities of quickly capturing scenes that have fast action like sports.
The new camera system is powered by an AI model trained with a database that is 28x larger than the previous generation. The Honor Magic6 Pro includes HONOR AI Motion Sensing Capture. It’s an advanced AI capture algorithm that effortlessly predicts and captures decisive moments in ultra-high definition. That’s a neat feature for capturing special shots during sports. It also covers a wide range of sports including jumping, dancing, and martial arts, making it perfect for capturing special moments at sports events and races.

The Honor Magic6 Pro introduces a 180 Telephoto Camera f/2.6 with OIS. It brings 2.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The Honor Magic6 Pro also features a 50 MP Ultrawide camera with f/2.0 and EIS. There is also a powerful 50 MP main camera with variable aperture that ranges from f/1.4 to f/2.0 and OIS.
Display
The Honor Magic6 Pro brings a new Nanocrystal Shield technology for its display. It’s well-recognized for its hardness and scratch resistance. In addition to durability, it includes an LTPO Eye Comfort display to ensure safety and an enjoyable viewing experience. The device comes with the industry’s highest 4,320 Hz PWM Dimming, Dynamic Dimming, Customizable Circadian Night Display, and Nature Tone feature.

In terms of performance, the Honor Magic6 Pro brings the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which represents a 30% improvement in CPU performance and a 25% increase in GPU performance. Thanks to the Qualcomm AI engine, the AI features on Honor Magic6 Pro are now supported with exceptional fluency and stability. With this chipset, users can enjoy a wide array of features, apps, and games without any kind of hassle.
The Honor Magic6 Pro draws its power from a 5,600 mAh battery made of Honor’s innovative Silicon-carbon battery technology. The phone also includes the Honor E1 chip, which is here for battery management and energy efficiency. The battery is always cold even during long periods of usage.

In addition, the Magic6 Pro comes with an 80W Wired SuperCharge and 66W Wireless SuperCharge. The phone can be fully charged to 100% in just 40 minutes.

Honor Magic6 Pro RSR Porsche Design
During the MWC 2024, Honor is not only bringing the Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche Design to global markets. As teased before, the company is also taking the opportunity to launch a new Honor Magic6 Pro RSR Porsche Design. The company shared a teaser for the new RSR Porsche design smartphone. It successfully embodies the DNA of Porsche Design. It has a centered camera sitting within a geometric structure that references the aesthetics of a Porsche Racecar.
Honor MagicBook Pro 16 and Honor Pad 9
Honor also took the opportunity to unveil an all-new AI-powered laptop. The Honor MagicBook Pro 16 comes with a focus on cross-OS collaboration. That means that users will experience great immersion when using Honor products along with the MagicBook.
The Honor MagicBook Pro 16 will benefit from performance improvements brought by Honor’s platform-level AI, CPU, and GPU. It can share and show notifications from Honor smartphones, PCs, and tablets with the MagicRing.

Besides the new Honor MagicBook Pro 16, the company also brought the Honor Pad 9 to global markets with its large 12.1-inch 2.5K FullView Display with 120Hz refresh rate. It also has an Eight-Speaker audio system with Honor Histen Sound Technology.
Pricing and Availability
Honor Magic6 Pro
The Honor Magic6 Pro will sell in Black and Epi Green color options with a price tag of £1,099.99. Those buying the phone from HiHonor can use the AM6PP250 coupon at the checkout for a £250 discount. HiHonor will also offer complimentary 12-month screen protection, plus the opportunity to grab an Honor Pad 9 for £149,99.
The Magic6 Pro will be available to pre-order from March 1 with sales opening from March 8. There will be a complimentary launch bundle worth £359 including Honor Earbuds X6, Honor 100W SuperCharger, and Honor Pad 8 from Amazon, Very, and Currys.
New and existing Three customers can also purchase the smartphone from March 8.
From £50 Upfront and£37.50 a month across 36 months on a 2GB tariff, plus an extra £300 when you trade in your old device.
Honor is yet to disclose details on the availability of the Porsche Design Honor Magic6 Pro.

Honor Magic V2 RSR

The RSR Porsche Design foldable is available in Agate Grey and is priced at £2,349.99. The Honor MagicBook 16 Pro will be available from Q2 in Space Gray and Cyan Lake color options.
