Tronsmart T7 Lite Speaker Review

Tronsmart specializes in making quality, budget-minded mobile accessories. The company has built a solid lineup of portable speakers and just released its latest models. The new Tronsmart T7 Lite is a compact Bluetooth hub to carry your tunes on your next adventure.

The Tronsmart T7 Lite lends itself well to the industrial look and feel of other speakers in the company’s lineup. The cylinder has two small subwoofers on each side with a tough, fabric casing around the majority of the device.

Design

On one side the T7 Lite is a strip of controls a that run vertically if the speaker is standing on one end. Here, you have a a power, Bluetooth, volume controls, and play/pause buttons. The final button is for Tronsmart’s proprietary SoundPulse mode that gives the T7 Lite a rich default sound profile.

Internally, the T7 Lite houses a 4000mAh battery back, Bluetooth 5.3, and 24W of stereo sound. You also get IPX7 waterproofing and dust resistance. This should make this speaker and exceptional carry around and away from the house.

Sound

I have to say, the Tronsmart T7 Lite packs a solid punch for a portable audio device of this size. The mids and highs come through ok with bass coming in when needed. At higher volumes things can get a little shaky, but overall, I’m impressed with the sound from the T7 Lite.

The 24W speaker array sounds even better with the SoundPuls profile activated. I found myself generally keeping this activated full-time. You can manipulate the sound even further in the Tronsmart app. Here you have preset profiles to choose from or a manual EQ to make granular changes.

Lastly, you have two other party tricks that makes the Tronsmart T7 Lite compelling for your next gathering. Each side of the speaker has an LED ring to illuminate during playback for some fun visuals. The other is that the speakers can be synced with other Tronsmart T7 Lite speakers to produce a stereo setup.

Battery life

Tronsmart estimates battery life of around 24 hours with the LED rings shut off and volume set to 50 percent. I’ve found this to be fairly accurate. I’ve taken this for casual listening at two ball games and puttering around the house with never having to charge over a long weekend.

When you do need to recharge, the T7 Lite takes a standard USB-C input. One drawback is it only support 5V of juice, so from a dead battery it will take over four hours to get back to 100 percent.

Conclusion

Earned for achieving an overage average star rating of at least 3.75 stars, this product is an AndroidGuys Smart Pick, signifying a perfect blend of quality, performance, and value. It excels in key areas like design, innovation, and user experience, offering top-notch functionality at a great price.

Tronsmart has another compelling portable speaker with the T7 Lite. The rugged design, good battery life, and decent sound make it a solid buy at just $40. You can easily spend twice this for similar performance from more well known brands.
