Zhiyun has finally announced the new Zhiyun Molus B Series LED lights first teased at NAB 2024 in April. The new Bowens mount LED lights come in four different power outputs of 100W (buy here), 200W (buy here), 300W (buy here) and 500W (buy here).
The company says they sport an “all-new industrial design” incorporating a dual cooling structure. Zhiyun says the cooling design was inspired by vortex principles, making it a more compact and cooler form factor.
Zhiyun Molus B-Series – Compact and Powerful
The new Molus B series are compact Bowens mount continuous LED lights designed for video. They’re not quite as small as the Zhiynu Molus G lights, but the Molus G lights don’t go up to 500W (except for a short-term boost).
These are bicolour LED lights with a white balance range from 2700-6500K and a CRI of 95+. They come in four different powers of 100W, 200W, 300W and 500W continuous light output. They feature the Bowens mount on the front, opening them up to a very wide range of modifiers.
They have an integrated power supply, meaning no external control box. But you have controls on the lights themselves as well as remotely via the ZY Vega app. They each feature 13 different effects modes, including SOS, fireworks and more for different needs.
To keep the lights cool, they utilise Zhiyun’s latest DynaVort Cooling System MK V. This not only keeps the units cooler in operation but also extends the life of the units as a result. The newly designed system helps to keep the lights cool despite the smaller form factor.
Price and Availability
The Zhiyun Molus B series are available to buy now. The Molus B100, B200, B300 and B500 cost $229, $359, $539 and $719, respectively.
